Back at E3 Sony announced that feature, but now has dropped it.

At this year's E3, Sony's Phil Harrison stated at GamesIndustry.biz that the Playstation 3 "...can be a hub, rather than just being a terminal at the end of a network." So you could actually use other Wi-fi devices, such as PSP and DS, to connect to the Internet via the PS3.
Unfortunately, Ken Kutaragi recently told to the Japanese publication Nikkei Electronics that the "router" functions of Playstation 3 were dropped, in order to minimize the manufacturing cost. Have in mind, that the Xbox 360 supports that function.
We should wait to see, how this change will affect the future of Playstation 3, not only from a videogaming device perspective, but from the "Computer" perspective that Sony claims it to be.
