Rumor: Ready at Dawn Reconsidering PSP Development?
December 15, 2008 | 4:08 PM PST
Back in June, Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus developer Ready at Dawn packed up their dev kits and said they were getting out of the PSP business.
Fast forward six months later, however, and it appears that they may now be having second thoughts about their hasty departure from Sony's portable PlayStation platform.
According to Gamasutra, 2 out of 5 top PSP games sold on Amazon in the US last week were Ready At Dawn games with Daxter and Chains of Olympus both making the top 5.
Maybe we should reconsider this whole 'no more PSP games' thing because we seem to be pretty good at it :) -- Ready at Dawn Studios webpage
Given that they seem to have only made three games ever, and two of those were the above-mentioned PSP titles with the third being a port of Capcom's Okami to the Wii, I'd say their track record on the platform is solid, if small.
I've only marked this as a rumor because their feelings may remain unchanged, and it could simply be a lighthearted comment about how happy they are regarding how well their games are doing. Nothing's official until it's official.
