Sony: "PSP Has More Potential Than People Realize"

Following the words of Media Molecule about LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation Portable at the Eurogamer Expo in London last week, some representatives gave their thoughts on what such an endeavor ultimately meant for the handheld platform.
"Possibly that PSP has a lot more potential than people realise," one rep from Sony Cambridge said, "and hopefully that will push people to make it go further."
However, while the game plays very much like its console big brother, it may not pack as much caring into the sharing part of the program. "It's not exactly the same game," the rep noted. "There were a few trade-offs we had to make to get it on PSP, one of them being multiplayer." Fortunately, despite multiplayer taking a hike, the full Community Moon feature remains intact, as does the uploading and downloading of other peoples' levels.
Even without fully filling out the mold established by the PlayStation 3 version, word is that LBP on PSP (LBPSP?) is still an impressive feat, though whether or not other developers will realize it remains to be seen.
